The Arnold HN9079 brings the fascinating steam locomotive 18 314 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn to your layout as a high-quality TT model. In its original coal-fired version and elegant black paint scheme, it is an impressive testimony to southern German express train technology. As an experimental locomotive of the VES-M Halle, it was a technical masterpiece and is now considered a legend among railroad enthusiasts.
Built in 1919 as a Baden IV h, it ended up in the Soviet occupation zone in a spectacular locomotive swap and was completely reconstructed in 1960. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology such as the Riggenbach back-pressure brake, a new combustion chamber boiler and a 2'2'T34 standard tender, it was used from then on as a high-speed locomotive - with speeds of up to 150 km/h.
The locomotive has a powerful 5-pole motor with flywheel mass and drive on all driving and coupling axles. The frame, boiler, tender housing and wheelsets are made of metal, which ensures the best running characteristics. Power is taken from the locomotive and tender. Thanks to the Next18 interface, the locomotive is ready for digitization.
The 18 314 is a masterpiece of steam locomotive technology - stylish, steeped in history and technically at the highest level. Get it now and experience a truly unique piece of German railroad history on your TT layout!
