The Bemo 1014806 H0e steam locomotive 99 621 is a detailed replica of the Württemberg Klose locomotive Tss 4 in the version of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) during Era II. This ready-made model enables model railroad enthusiasts to authentically depict historical narrow-gauge operation on their layouts.
The Tss 4 was built in 1894 by Maschinenfabrik Esslingen for the Bottwartalbahn. These four-couplers were the first narrow-gauge locomotives with 750 mm track gauge in Württemberg. They had a special drive unit, developed by senior engineer Adolph Klose, which enabled radial adjustment of the axles. Despite this innovation, the engine proved to be high-maintenance, which led to its withdrawal from service in the 1920s.
Era II (1920-1945) was characterized by the standardization of railroad operations in Germany under the DRG. During this time, many locomotives were reclassified and renumbered. The Tss 4 was given the road number 99 621 and continued to be used on narrow gauge lines.
Bemo is known for its high-quality narrow gauge models. With great precision and attention to detail, Bemo produces models that authentically reflect historical models. The 99 621 steam locomotive is another example of the manufacturer's commitment to making historical railroad vehicles accessible to model railroaders.
The model is designed for the H0e gauge (1:87) and has a length over buffers of 93.3 mm. It is designed for the 2-wire direct current system (DC) and has a solderable interface for optional digitization. The minimum radius for using this locomotive is 330 mm. The model is equipped with an in-house coupler pocket to ensure a secure connection with other vehicles.
The locomotive is painted in the typical black and red livery of the DRG, which is characteristic of Era II. This authentic design makes the model a real eye-catcher on any H0e model railway layout.
Bemo attaches great importance to the quality of its models. The 99 621 impresses with its precise workmanship, fine engravings and a detailed replica of the prototype. The robust construction and high-quality materials guarantee a long service life and ensure a realistic driving experience.
Bemo offers various accessories and spare parts for the 99 621 to customize the model or repair it if necessary. These include, for example, matching carriages, additional detailing sets or spare parts for the drive. An overview of the available accessories can be found in specialist shops or directly from Bemo.

To ensure the longevity of the model, regular maintenance work should be carried out. This includes cleaning the wheels and running gear to remove dirt and oil residue and occasionally lubricating the moving parts with suitable model railroad oil. Electrical contacts should be checked for dirt and cleaned if necessary. It is advisable to protect the model from direct sunlight and high humidity to prevent discoloration and material deformation.
