The Bemo 1014807 H0e steam locomotive E. 12 "Oberstenfeld" is a detailed replica of the Württemberg Klose locomotive Tss 4 in the design of the Royal Württemberg State Railways (K.W.St.E.) during Era I. This finished model enables model railroad enthusiasts to authentically represent historical narrow gauge operation on their layouts.
The Tss 4 was built in 1894 by Maschinenfabrik Esslingen for the Bottwartalbahn. These four-couplers were the first narrow-gauge locomotives with 750 mm track gauge in Württemberg. They had a special drive unit, developed by senior engineer Adolph Klose, which enabled radial adjustment of the axles. Despite this innovation, the engine proved to be high-maintenance, which led to its withdrawal from service in the 1920s.
Era I (1835-1920) was characterized by the emergence and development of railroads in Germany. During this period, the K.W.St.E. operated an extensive network of narrow-gauge lines on which locomotives such as the Tss 4 were used. Locomotive 12 "Oberstenfeld" was one of the best-known locomotives of this class.
Bemo is known for its high-quality narrow-gauge models. With great precision and attention to detail, Bemo produces models that authentically reflect historical models. The steam locomotive E. 12 "Oberstenfeld" is a further example of the manufacturer's commitment to making historical railroad vehicles accessible to model railroaders.
The model is designed for the H0e gauge (1:87) and has a length over buffers of 93.3 mm. It is designed for the 2-wire direct current system (DC) and has a solderable interface for optional digitization. The minimum radius for using this locomotive is 330 mm. The model is equipped with an in-house coupler pocket to ensure a secure connection with other vehicles.
The locomotive is painted in a classic green livery, which is characteristic of the K.W.St.E. in Era I. This authentic design makes the model a real eye-catcher on any H0e model railway layout.
Bemo attaches great importance to the quality of its models. The E. 12 "Oberstenfeld" impresses with its precise workmanship, fine engravings and a detailed replica of the prototype. The robust construction and high-quality materials guarantee a long service life and ensure a realistic driving experience.
Bemo offers various accessories and spare parts for the E. 12 "Oberstenfeld" to customize the model or repair it if necessary. These include, for example, matching carriages, additional detailing sets or spare parts for the drive. An overview of the available accessories can be found in specialist shops or directly from Bemo.
The Bemo 1014807 H0e steam locomotive E. 12 "Oberstenfeld" is an excellent choice for model railroaders who value historical accuracy and high quality.
