The Bemo 1016867 steam locomotive 99 566 is a finely detailed model of a Saxon IV K in the Reko version. As an operational Reichsbahn narrow gauge locomotive of Era V, this H0e model impresses with its prototypical design, welded water boxes and a typical Reko roof with four striking roof vents. The high-quality finished metal model is equipped with a smooth-running bell-type armature motor and is digitally prepared - an ideal highlight for narrow-gauge railroads of the post-reunification era.
The locomotives of the 99.51-60 series (Saxon IV K) are among the longest-lived and best-known narrow gauge locomotives in Germany. In the GDR, numerous locomotives were extensively reconstructed from the 1960s onwards. The 99 566 received welded water boxes, a new reconditioned roof with four fans and other technical modifications in order to continue to reliably master the tough everyday operation on the narrow-gauge railroads in Saxony - for example on the Preßnitz Valley Railway or in the Weißeritz Valley.
The Bemo 1016867 brings this reconditioned version with the finest detailing and modern technology to the H0e tracks. Equipped with a powerful bell-shaped armature motor, the model offers excellent running characteristics even at slow speeds. The digitally prepared electronics make it easy to retrofit a decoder for digital operation. With numerous filigree add-on parts, true-to-original proportions and a length over buffers of 103.5 mm, the model is an ideal candidate for Era V operational scenery.
The Era V version of the 99 566 differs in its (reconstruction): welded water boxes, the new reconstruction roof with four fans as well as adjustments in the design. It corresponds to the condition of the locomotive after 1990 in service with the DR - later also on museum railroads.
The model is analog ex works. However, it is digitally prepared so that a decoder can easily be retrofitted. This facilitates integration into digital systems and enables extended control options.
H0e is a scale of 1:87 with a track gauge of 9 mm - ideal for depicting narrow-gauge railroads on classic H0 layouts. Perfect for tight radii, compact scenery and historical routes.
The locomotive is ideal for operationally intensive narrow gauge railroads in Era V, but can also be integrated into modern layouts as a museum vehicle. It is perfect for layouts that depict the transition from the Reichsbahn to the post-reunification era.
With the Bemo 1016867 steam locomotive 99 566, you are getting a high-quality reproduction version of the legendary IV K for your H0e narrow gauge railroad. Intricate details, welded water boxes, reconditioned roof, bell-type armature motor and digital preparation make this model the ideal choice for model railroaders looking for realistic operational representations of Era V. A real eye-catcher - not only in Saxony's mountains!
