The Bemo 1106846 H0e steam locomotive 99 716 brings the history of the Württemberg narrow gauge railroads to your model railway layout in true detail. This exclusive model, part of Bemo's Metal Collection, is a handcrafted masterpiece that meets the highest standards of quality and precision. With innovative technology such as an ESU Loksound 5 nano decoder, warm white LED lighting and a control system cast entirely in nickel silver, this model is a highlight for all fans of Era III.
The powerful five-coupler steam locomotives such as the 99 716 were indispensable on the Württemberg narrow-gauge railroads. They handled both passenger and freight traffic on challenging routes before they were replaced by the V51 series of diesel locomotives at the end of the 1960s. The decline of many narrow-gauge lines marked the end of an era, but the 99 series remains a symbol of the heyday of steam technology.
Following the successful production of three locomotive types based in Saxony, Bemo has decided to launch two new exclusive models for 2025 with the Württemberg VI K series and the 99 651 and 99 716 models. Both locomotives represent Era III with fine differences in detail and make the models a special treat for collectors and Württemberg enthusiasts.
The Bemo Metal Collection stands for outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail. The 99 716 model is manufactured in Germany and impresses with its precise workmanship. The control unit is cast entirely in nickel silver, the control carrier has been newly developed and the replica standing boiler including fittings underlines the authenticity. In addition, open roof flaps made of etched parts and a prototypical smokebox door with a new design ensure a high degree of realism.
The Bemo 99 716 combines historical accuracy with state-of-the-art technology. With an ESU Loksound 5 nano decoder, tuned Henning sound profiles and warm white LED lighting, the model offers an authentic driving experience. The direction-dependent headlights and the switchable driver's cab lighting provide additional functionality. Power is drawn from all five axles, ensuring a reliable and even power supply.
The locomotive has a typical Era III design. The lettering is done using pad printing and is partially supplemented by fine etched plates. This combination ensures a precise and durable representation of all details. The characteristic black of the locomotive is perfectly complemented by the red running gear and fine accents, which underlines the historical authenticity.
The 99 716 is perfect for narrow gauge layouts in H0e scale. With a minimum radius of 280 mm, the model can also be used flexibly on smaller layouts. Thanks to the solderable interface, additional functions can be integrated. The coupling mount is specially designed for a stable connection with other wagons, which enables use on realistic train formations.
To ensure the long-term functionality of the locomotive, it should be cleaned regularly. Dust and dirt should be removed from the wheels and pantographs. Use a soft cloth or special cleaning pens for this purpose. Store the model in a dry place to protect the delicate details from moisture.
The Bemo 1106846 H0e steam locomotive 99 716 is an impressive model that impresses with its detailed design, high-quality materials and innovative technology. Whether as the centerpiece of a narrow gauge layout or as a collector's item - this model is an absolute highlight. With its combination of perfect craftsmanship and modern technology, the 99 716 meets the highest demands and brings a piece of railroad history to your layout.
