Yugoslavian heritage in Tyrolean service

Originally built for the Yugoslavian state railroad JZ, diesel locomotive 740-007 came to the Zillertalbahn in 1980 and was given the operating number D 10 as a modernized locomotive. It was extensively rebuilt in Jenbach - with a new engine, driver's cab, control panels and train heating. Reversible train control was added in the mid-1990s. The model depicted here shows the D 10 in exactly this condition - with beige decorative stripes, suitable for Era V.

Technically modernized - now also as a model

Following engine damage, the locomotive was parked in the 2010s, but was prepared for reactivation as part of the revitalized timber transport to Fügen from 2021. This model perfectly captures its striking appearance of the 1990s - including all the typical add-on parts, grab rails, different body elements and buffer beams.

Powerful, detailed and digitally equipped

The model has a die-cast chassis, drive and power consumption across all four axles and a powerful 5-pole motor. LED headlights in the direction of travel, digitally switchable cab lighting and a pre-installed sound decoder (Next18) ensure modern operation. Sound preparation is also integrated.
