Are you looking for a distinctive H0m-scale universal locomotive from the Rhaetian Railway for modern Swiss narrow-gauge layouts? The Bemo 1252127 RhB Ge 4/4 I 607 “Surselva” brings a distinctive RhB locomotive from Era VI to the model railroad and is ideal for versatile train formations in both passenger and freight service.
The prototype belongs to the Ge 4/4 I 601–610 locomotive series, which was delivered by SLM between 1947 and 1953. The locomotives had 1,560 PS of power, reached 75 km/h, and featured a modern drive concept with single-axle drive for the RhB.
Starting in the late 1980s, the ten locomotives underwent extensive modernization at the Landquart main workshop. Among other things, they were fitted with a new cab, a shuttle train control system, and a red paint scheme.
Later, the scissor-type pantographs were replaced with single-arm pantographs. The Ge 4/4 I 607 “Surselva” thus represents an important stage of development in the Rhaetian Railway’s rolling stock.
The model impresses with a redesigned die-cast undercarriage and transmission, as well as a replica of the engine room interior. Spring assemblies mounted on the undercarriage add an extra level of detail.
The 3+1 white LED headlight, the digitally controllable LED cab lighting, and the sound-ready design make this locomotive an attractive addition to sophisticated H0m layouts.
Get the Bemo 1252127 RhB Ge 4/4 I 607 “Surselva” and expand your Swiss narrow-gauge railway with a modern RhB universal locomotive featuring fine details and a strong resemblance to the prototype.
