The Bemo 1562256 H0 electric locomotive "Glacier Express" HGe 4/4 II 106 of the MGB, Era VI is a striking electric locomotive for the 3-wire alternating current system (AC), perfect for Märklin-compatible layouts. This locomotive not only represents the famous "Glacier Express", but also MGB's commitment to tourist and cultural experiences. With an elegant design, digital controllability and LED lighting, it is a versatile addition to sophisticated H0 scale model railroad layouts.
The model impresses with its true-to-original design in the "Glacier Express" design with clean lettering and powerful coloring. Detailed engravings, attached components and filigree roof equipment ensure that the model is very close to the original. The white LED tip lighting with light change underlines the modern look and ensures realistic operating scenes - even in the dark.
This model is equipped for digital AC operation and has a built-in decoder, but without a sound function. The locomotive is equipped with a Next18 interface, which enables future upgrades, for example with a sound decoder. The LED lighting is dependent on the direction of travel and ideally complements the technical equipment.
The HGe 4/4 II 106 locomotive originally came from BVZ and is now used by the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway (MGB). As a cogwheel adhesion locomotive, it is ideally suited for demanding Alpine routes - especially when used in front of the Glacier Express. The MGB also uses such locomotives for cultural initiatives, such as the design for the "Matterhorn Story" on the Riffelberg - a unique open-air theater experience at an altitude of over 2,600 meters.
The locomotive is suitable for H0 layouts with 3-wire alternating current systems (AC) and can be ideally combined with matching Glacier Express coaches from Bemo. With a minimum radius of 360 mm, it can be used flexibly on medium-sized to large layouts. The in-house coupling receptacle enables a smooth connection with other Bemo vehicles.
Included is the digitized electric locomotive HGe 4/4 II 106 in the "Glacier Express" design, with LED light change and Next18 digital interface - ready for operation with all 3-wire AC digital layouts.
