The class 624.6 (VT 24.6) diesel railcar of the German Federal Railroad (DB) is an important vehicle from Era V. The series was created from 1964 after extensive test runs with prototype trains and was later further developed with air-sprung technology and track curve-dependent car body control under the 634 series. The railcars reached a maximum speed of 120 km/h and were used until the end of 2014 before some units were sold to Poland and used there as SA112. This model shows the DB version of the 624 674/669 diesel railcar true to detail and accurate to scale.
The model has a drive on a bogie of a power car and a power consumption over all wheel sets of the motorized end car. It is an AC model with current consumption of the leading end car depending on the direction of travel. The digital interface is MTC21digital, which makes convenient control possible.
