The Bemo 1762256 H0 electric locomotive "Glacier Express" HGe 4/4 II 106 of the MGB, Era VI is a high-quality model with built-in sound for direct current operation. The HGe 4/4 II 106 is one of the traditional cogwheel locomotives of the former BVZ (Brig-Visp-Zermatt Railway) and is now part of the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway (MGB) fleet. This series is designed for combined rack-and-pinion and adhesion operation - ideal for the Alpine routes around the Matterhorn. One of these locomotives was designed as an advertising medium for "The Matterhorn Story" - a major cultural event with historical reference to the first ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865 - in conjunction with the open-air festival on the Riffelberg.
With a minimum radius of 360 mm, the locomotive is ideal for medium-sized to large H0 digital layouts in the DC system. It is an excellent match for Glacier Express panorama and passenger coaches as well as other MGB vehicles. The in-house coupling holder ensures a stable connection in the train set.
