About the prototype: On 11 December 2022, operation began on a train line from Montreux on Lake Geneva to Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland, which is characterized by the fact that 62.43 km of its 115.34 km long route is on metre gauge between Montreux and Zweisimmen and 52.91 km on standard gauge tracks between Zweisimmen and Interlaken Ost. Nevertheless, the journey is made without forcing passengers to change trains. This is made possible by the fact that in Zweisimmen the carriages are supported by lateral roller supports on the bogies, while the bogies are converted for standard-gauge operation. On the standard-gauge tracks, a BLS Re 465 electric locomotive drives the train. An interface car, which has standard gauge buffers on the side of the BLS locomotive and the automatic coupling of the train on the side of the control car, connects the electric locomotive and the train set.

About the model: In order to do justice to this special prototype, Bemo is producing the complete train set in H0 scale, both as a narrow gauge H0m version and as an AC and DC version for the standard H0 track gauge. The H0m panorama coach MOB Bs 281 impresses with its wealth of detail and precise production. This includes the imprint, which is confusingly similar to the original, as well as the outstanding design. The car has an accurate interior and is already prepared for the installation of interior lighting.
