Are you looking for an authentic dining car that will bring the glamour of the Glacier Express’s heyday to your H0m layout? Then the Bemo WR 3811 is just right for you. With its red paint scheme and gold lettering, this model represents one of the Rhaetian Railway’s most famous train formations—and is now returning to the lineup after many years.
Originally built in 1929–30 by Mitropa as the Dr4ü 10–12, the cars were taken over by the RhB in 1949. The first major modernization took place between 1968 and 1974, and the second in 1982–83—at a time when these cars had long since become a symbol of the “Glacier Express.” Starting in 1996, the well-known “Gourmino” livery was introduced, before it later gave way to the elegant ACPE blue. The WR 3811 is shown here once again in the red-and-gold color scheme—a classic for Epochs IV–V.
Following the sell-out of the WR 3810 eight years ago, Bemo is now bringing back a car from this historic series with the WR 3811—perfect for model railroaders who want to complete or stylishly expand their Glacier Express set.
With a length over the buffers of 189 mm, the car is ideally suited for H0m layouts. The red finish with gold lettering ensures high recognition value and makes it an eye-catcher in the train set. Even when used as a single car, the WR 3811 looks particularly elegant and historically authentic thanks to its color scheme.
Whether as an addition to existing trains or as a standalone model – the Bemo WR 3811 is a valuable addition to any RhB-themed model railroad layout. Pre-order now and bring a piece of Glacier Express history to life!
