As early as 1928, the former Bernina Railway put two dining cars into service, which were coupled with Mitropa kitchen cars starting in 1944. For decades, they were part of the famous Glacier Express trains before their service there ended in 1987. One of the cars returned to the RhB from the Furka Mountain Steam Railway in 2001 and was converted into a stylish piano bar in 2010.
