Description

The RhB AB 1517 commuter train car belongs to Era V and has an impressive prototypical paint scheme with very fine lettering. The model has a length of 210 mm.

Between 1989 and 1991, the RhB converted the AB 1514-1518 and B 2337-2340 center-entry cars, which had been in service in 1956, into commuter train cars and used them primarily to serve the Davos-Filisur and Samedan-Pontresina routes in the Upper Engadine. They were fitted with modern swing-sliding doors instead of the two double-leaf folding doors. They were mostly used with the BDt 1721-1723 driving trailers (e.g. item 3287 131 - not enclosed). A suitable train locomotive is, for example, the Ge 4/4 I 607 "Surselva" (item 1252 127/ 1352 127 - not enclosed).
