Description

In 1956, the RhB added a second series of light metal coaches with central entrances to its passenger coach fleet. Some of the AB 1513-1518 and B 2334-2340 were equipped with roof rod couplings for operation on the Arosa line, so that they could be used universally. The wagons, which were initially painted green, were later painted red. From the beginning of the 1990s, the carriages were converted for shuttle services, mainly between Davos and Filisur or in the Upper Engadine, and were fitted with modern flush doors. From 2000, some carriages were used for bicycle transportation. Usually three of the coaches are still used in the peak winter season together with a pack wagon and a Ge 4/4 II to form the Bergün - Preda sledge trains on the Albula line.
