The Bemo 3287131 is a high-quality H0m model of the BDt 1721 control car of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) from Era V. With its detailed design, LED headlights, and precise reproduction of the prototype’s features, this control car is an ideal addition to realistic RhB narrow-gauge trains.
In 1982, upon completion of the procurement of the EW II standard-design cars, the RhB put the three BDt 1721 through 1723 control cars into service. They were initially intended for operation with the ABe 4/4 501–504 railcars, but were later also used with the modernized Ge 4/4 I railcars—frequently on routes in the Engadin and between Davos and Filisur. In the mid-1990s, the front doors of the driver’s cabs were sealed off. Around 2006, BDt 1723 was fitted with rectangular headlights. Between 2012 and 2013, all three cars underwent a comprehensive modernization, during which they were fitted with a new front end in the style of the “NEVA Retica” control cars, modern doors, and a braking system for the Vereina car trains.
The model features direction-dependent LED headlights, is built to an exact 1:87 scale, and is suitable for use on H0m layouts with a minimum curve radius of 330 mm. With a length of 216 mm over buffers, it blends harmoniously into typical RhB train sets of Era V.
The Bemo 3287131 BDt 1721 is a must-have for all fans of the Rhaetian Railway and offers an authentic rendition of a classic control car with the modern look of Era V. Get yours now and complete your H0m set in true style!
