About the model: BEMO is supplying the RhB Api 1312 "Glacier Express" panorama car 1st class, associated with Era VI. The car was prototypically manufactured in 1:87 scale and has a detailed paint scheme with the finest printing. The model has a length of 212.6 mm.
About the prototype: To mark the 75th anniversary of the "Glacier Express", which has been in service since 1930, the MGB and RhB presented their new GEX train concept in 2006: Both railroads put two six-car panorama car sets into service each with the Api 1311-1312 (RhB) and 4041-4042 (MGB), Ap 1313-1314/4043-4044, Bp 2531-2536/4061-4066 and WRp 3831-3834. In 2009, Stadler delivered more cars to RhB in the form of Ap 1315-1316, Bp 2537-2538 and WRp 3830, while MGB put WRp 3835 and Bp 4067-4068 into service. Api 4040 and Ap 4045 followed in 2011 as the latest additions.
