About the model: The RhB Bp 2538 "Glacier Express" 2nd class panorama car from BEMO is from Era VI and has an impressive prototypical paint scheme with the finest printing. The car has a length of 212.6 mm.
About the prototype: MGB and RhB presented their new GEX train concept in 2006 for the 75th anniversary of the "Glacier Express", which has been running since 1930: Both railroads put two six-car panorama car sets into service with the Api 1311-1312 (RhB) and 4041-4042 (MGB), Ap 1313-1314/4043-4044, Bp 2531-2536/4061-4066 and WRp 3831-3834. In 2009, Stadler delivered further coaches to the RhB with the Ap 1315-1316, Bp 2537-2538 and WRp 3830, while the MGB put the WRp 3835 and Bp 4067-4068 into service. Api 4040 and Ap 4045 followed in 2011 as the last additions.
