About the model: Since December 2022, a train line has connected Montreux on Lake Geneva with Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland. This would be nothing special if the line didn't have a special feature. Because when the train starts in Montreux, it does so on a narrow-gauge meter track, but when it arrives in Interlaken, it is on a standard-gauge track. To make this possible, there is a gauge change station in Zweisimmen after 62.43 km of the 115.34 km journey. Thanks to the modern design of the carriages and the gauge change system, the train can be converted without passengers having to disembark. From Zweisimmen to Interlaken, a BLS Re 465 electric locomotive pushes the train composition or pulls it in the opposite direction. A so-called Bsi interface carriage is interposed between the electric locomotive and the train set in order to translate the different types of couplings.
About the model: Bemo is reproducing the MOB branch 181 control car of this train set in this model as an H0 alternating current version. It is also produced as an H0 direct current and H0m narrow gauge version. The finely modeled control car can shine with its exact paint scheme and various lighting functions. These include a headlamp and interior lighting, as well as an illuminated train destination display on the front of the car and a head signal.
