The model: With the opening of a new connection in December 2022, from Montreux on Lake Geneva to Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland, these two important locations will now be connected directly without the need to change trains. The main reason why such a route has not yet been implemented is that 62.43 km of the 115.34 kilometers of track between Montreux and Zweisimmen and 52.91 km on standard gauge tracks between Zweisimmen and Interlaken Ost are covered. As the new route does not require changing trains, the carriages have to be converted in Zweisimmen. For this purpose, the wagons are supported by lateral roller supports on the bogies, while the bogies are adapted to the respective track dimensions and the wagon bodies to the deviating platform standard heights. On the meter gauge, the train consists of two control cars and two passenger cars. On the standard gauge, however, the train is supplemented by a BLS Re 465 electric locomotive and an interface wagon. The Re 465 provides the propulsion, while the interface car translates between the couplings of the locomotive and the control car.

About the model: Bemo is now offering the entire train for this special route. In order to do justice to the special features of the different gauges, the models are also produced in H0m narrow gauge and as H0 standard gauge versions, whereby the H0 models are available both as DC and AC versions. The interface car, on the other hand, is only available for the H0 standard gauge, as it is only required on the standard gauge tracks on the real line. This panorama car is intended for the AC set. It has precise lettering and many details of the original cars. This also includes the detailed and true-to-original interior. This can be very easily staged as the car is already prepared for the installation of interior lighting.
