Description

RhB and MGB initiated a realignment of the "Glacier Express" (GEX) in 2017 as a result of changes in passenger behavior. Key elements of the program include a renewal of the panoramic coaches, the introduction of an Excellence Class (coach type Aps) and a change to the train service.

The RhB Bp 2538 and MGB Bp 4068 have been transformed into the two Aps 1321 and 4046 respectively, with modified interiors and major changes to one end of the carriage. The two new Aps cars can be recognized on the outside by the golden stripe.
