Description

Brawa presents a high-quality model of the popular DRG class 06 steam locomotive. The steam locomotive has a length over buffers of 305 mm and has a minimum radius of 360 mm. The model is made of selected metal, has a flywheel and 2 traction tires. In addition, the locomotive features a detailed interior, a two-light headlight signal and a built-in smoke generator.

Information about the prototype

In order to complete the program of unit locomotives upwards, the Krupp company received an order in 1934 to build 2 class 06 locomotives for the time being. During realization, the interest of the Deutsche Reichsbahn in the giant locomotives began to wane, so the class 06 001 locomotive was not delivered until March 1939, and the 06 002 locomotive was not even delivered until August 1939. At the end of 1940, a new painting regulation of the Deutsche Reichsbahn appeared, according to which the superstructures of the streamlined locomotives were to be painted anthracite gray instead of black in the future.
