Are you looking for a powerful steam locomotive with a historical background and modern digital technology? The Brawa 40683 offers you the class 92.22 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DRG) in H0 scale - equipped with built-in locomotive sound and Doehler & Haass decoder. The model impresses with its fine detailing, robust construction and perfect running characteristics - a must for Era II fans with a digital system.
After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich in 1938, the locomotives of the Austrian Federal Railways (BBÖ) were taken over by the DRG. The proven tank locomotives of the 178 series were given the new designation class 92.22 and the road numbers 92 2211 to 92 2294. They were widely used in local and shunting service and shaped the image of the Reichsbahn in the Alpine regions.
The Brawa 40683 is a model of the Digital EXTRA series with a built-in sound decoder from Doehler & Haass and a PluX22 interface. The locomotive offers light change, spring buffers, close coupler kinematics and is equipped with a flywheel mass for particularly smooth running characteristics - ideal for demanding digital systems.
The model fits perfectly into Era II layouts with a Reichsbahn theme - whether in the freight yard, on transfer runs or in light local traffic. Thanks to its compact design and minimum radius of 360 mm, the locomotive can also be used realistically on smaller layouts or branch lines.
