The 01 205 steam locomotive from Brawa impresses with its finely detailed reproduction with individually attached steps and steps as well as a true-to-original standing boiler rear wall. The design of the driver's cab is typical of the pre-series locomotives - somewhat longer than on the later series machines. The openwork ingot frame and the filigree metal driving and coupling rods give the model a particularly realistic appearance. Spoked wheels made of die-cast zinc round off the authentic appearance.

The 01 205 steam locomotive is one of the first ten examples of the class 01 that were delivered to the DRG by Borsig and AEG between 1926 and 1927. These pre-series locomotives were not yet fully standardized in their design and had numerous differences to the later series production version - including a longer driver's cab and a modified frame structure. Due to the insufficiently developed infrastructure at the time, these powerful locomotives could initially only be used on a few main lines.
The model is designed for direct current operation and can be used on all H0 layouts with a minimum radius of 360 mm. Thanks to the standard shaft with close coupler link, the locomotive can be easily combined with matching Era III express train cars - ideal for historically correct train compositions.
