The Brawa 40996 H0 steam locomotive 01 001 represents a true piece of railroad history. As the first class 01 locomotive, the 01 001 stands for the beginning of a new era of German express train service. The built-in interior lighting in the driver's cab provides additional authenticity. The NEM close coupling shaft with close coupling kinematics allows flexible connection with other wagons.
Although the model is supplied without a digital decoder as standard, it is prepared for simple retrofitting of a sound decoder via the PluX22 interface. The optional sound decoder offers the possibility of integrating the typical sounds of the steam locomotive, including steam noises, whistles and other acoustic details. A Seuthe No. 20 smoke generator can also be installed to perfect the steam experience.
The Brawa 40996 steam locomotive 01 001 is designed for a minimum radius of 360 mm, whereby a radius of 420 mm is recommended for optimum running characteristics. The four traction tires provide excellent traction, while the built-in flywheel mass ensures smooth starting and braking. The pre-installed smoke generator provides realistic steam output during the run if desired.
