Description

In the 1990s, the 216 series had reached the end of its useful life. After the division of locomotives and personnel among the business units, the 216 was found at DB Cargo, as the freight division was called at the time. Since, in contrast to earlier years, the focus was on a rapid implementation of the "corporate identity", numerous locomotives of all series were repainted.
