About the model: The DB Class V160 diesel locomotive is an H0 model from the BRAWA brand and comes from Era III. The steam locomotive shines with an era-appropriate and prototypical look as well as numerous features that make this model a real highlight. The model is equipped with interior lighting and a three-light headlights and two marker lights and is prepared for retrofitting a sound decoder. About the prototype: The standard DB mainline diesel locomotive was the single-engine V160 and the types modified from this locomotive. The 10 pre-production locomotives from 1960 and 1963 were followed by the 214 production locomotives from 1964 to 1968. The locomotives were built by Krupp, Henschel, Krauss-Maffei and KHD. From Hamburg-Altona to Trier, the locomotives were scattered throughout Germany in 16 railroad depots.
