The Brawa 41298 H0 class 204 diesel locomotive in the PRESSnitztalbahn (PRESS) version is an impressive model for all those who appreciate technology and faithfulness to the prototype. This version is available as a DC Digital EXTRA version with built-in locomotive sound, digitally remote-controlled couplers and energy storage - for a realistic driving experience at the highest level. The striking locomotive is part of Era VI and offers everything that modern digital railroaders are looking for.
The locomotive is equipped with a high-quality decoder from Döhler & Haass and has a digital PluX22 interface. The integrated energy storage unit enables uninterrupted operation even on dirty tracks. The digital remote-controlled coupler ensures precise coupling during operation. Further highlights: Light change, interior and driver's cab lighting with maintenance-free LEDs and a powerful 5-pole motor with flywheel mass for smooth running.
Technically, the model impresses with all-wheel power pick-up via wheel sliders, drive to all wheels and two traction tires for optimum traction. The wheel axles are mounted in durable brass bushes. The chassis frame, driver's cab and transmission housing are made of die-cast zinc - which gives the model additional stability and a high dead weight. The locomotive is designed for a minimum radius of 360 mm and has a length over buffers of 160 mm.
The model has numerous attached details: free-standing handles, grab rails, a clear view through the driver's cab with replicated interior and front window with attachment frame. The bogies are faithfully reproduced with sandboxes, wheel flange lubrication, axle bearings, primary suspension, induction magnet and parts of the brake system. There is no close coupling kinematics on this version.
Locomotive 204 011-5 has a long career behind it: delivered to the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1976 as 110 844-8 by LEW, converted to 112 844-6 in 1988 and later operated by DB AG as 202 844-7. After the z-position in 2001, it was taken over by the Pressnitz Valley Railway in 2003. Since 2007, it has also borne the NVR number 92 80 1203 212-6 D-PRESS. The locomotive is emblematic of the further development of the successful DR V100 series, of which almost 1150 were built between 1965 and 1983.
The Brawa 41298 BR 204, PRESS, Ep. VI in the Digital EXTRA version with locomotive sound will be available from the fourth quarter of 2025. Get this perfectly equipped model now for your collection or for digital operation on your H0 layout!
