The Brawa 41590 diesel locomotive 294 742-2 combines precise attention to detail and modern technology to meet the demanding requirements of model railroad operation. As part of the 294 series, it offers powerful performance, ideal for heavy shunting and transfer service on your model railroad.
The V90 series was developed in the 1960s specifically for heavy shunting operations and later continuously developed further. The locomotives transferred to the 294 series in the 1990s were equipped with radio remote control and numerous technical improvements. Today, these locomotives are in daily use under the direction of DB AG and have proven themselves as reliable workers.
The model of the Brawa 294 742-2 impresses with a chassis and transmission structure made of robust die-cast zinc. Etched radiator grilles, sprung buffers and the finest details such as free-standing grab irons make the model a real eye-catcher. The clear view through the driver's cab and the faithful reproduction of the brake linkage underline the high level of detail.
All axles of the diesel locomotive are driven, which enables excellent tractive power even under demanding conditions. With a minimum passable radius of 360 mm, the locomotive can be used flexibly on many layouts. Two traction tires and a flywheel mass ensure smooth operation and precise shunting.
The locomotive has a PluX22 interface that allows a sound decoder to be retrofitted. In the digital version, functions such as the powered fan, shunting light and a filigree electronic coupling are also available and ensure a realistic driving experience.
The model is equipped with maintenance-free LEDs that produce a three-light headlight and red tail lights according to the direction of travel. The interior lighting provides an authentic ambience in the driver's cab, while the additional lighting effects in the digital version offer even more possibilities.
To ensure a long service life, it is advisable to clean the wheels and running gear regularly. An occasional check of the moving parts and electrical connections ensures trouble-free operation. If necessary, the locomotive can be easily upgraded or maintained via the PluX22 interface.
The Brawa 41590 diesel locomotive 294 742-2 is more than just a simple model - it brings the fascination of heavy shunting operations in H0 directly to your layout. Thanks to its detailed workmanship and the option of digital upgrading, it is an ideal choice for beginners and professionals alike.
