Brawa 43855 H0 electric loco TRAXX 484, SBB Cargo, Ep. VI, DC-Sound Product Details

Description

Modern, detailed and powerful - the TRAXX 484 SBB Cargo with DC sound for your H0 layout

The Brawa 43855 TRAXX 484 SBB Cargo is an impressive model of modern freight train technology based on the successful TRAXX 3 platform. This electric locomotive combines realistic sound effects, high tractive power and the finest model details in an authentic Era VI SBB Cargo design. Perfect for anyone who wants to realistically implement international rail freight traffic on their DC system.

Technical data at a glance

The H0 locomotive is designed for 2-wire direct current (DC) operation and is factory-equipped with a digital decoder with a sound function. The locomotive has the road number 91 85 4484 004-7 and belongs to Era VI. Thanks to the PluX22 interface, it is state of the art and can be easily integrated into modern digital systems.

Modern technology and well thought-out design

A solid metal frame ensures excellent running characteristics and the necessary tractive force, supported by traction tires. The locomotive is also particularly easy to maintain: the housing can be dismantled wirelessly and easily thanks to anti-twist locking lugs. This makes access to the technology and inner workings quick and uncomplicated.

Lighting & visual effects

The model has LED lighting with red and white light changes as well as true-to-the-original switchable driver's cab lighting. Another highlight: the prototypical high beam light - a feature that not only looks good, but also creates a special atmosphere when driving at night.

Fine details for the highest demands

Brawa pays particular attention to the exterior design: Etched tread plates, individually attached windscreen wipers and numerous attached grab rails ensure a detailed look. The bogies with an unobstructed view and the realistic resting position of the pantographs round off the high-quality overall impression.

Technical driving characteristics like the original

Thanks to sophisticated motor control, the locomotive impresses with smooth, even starting - even in speed level 1. The starting and braking deceleration are also implemented true to the original and ensure a realistic driving experience on the model railroad.

Prototype: TRAXX 3 from Bombardier

The locomotive is based on the TRAXX 3 series from Bombardier Transportation, which was launched on the market in 2011 as a further development of the TRAXX 2 vehicles. With modern front sections, a new design and an optional last mile module, this series sets standards in international freight transport - over 200 vehicles from this platform are now in use across Europe, including the variant for SBB Cargo.

Dimensions & compatibility

The locomotive is 217.2 mm long (length) and suitable for a minimum radius of 360 mm. Thanks to the coupling system with NEM shaft and close coupling kinematics, it can be flexibly integrated into existing train formations.

Scope of delivery

The locomotive is supplied with an integrated decoder and sound function, ready for DC operation. Detailed instructions are also included, as well as any accessory parts for visual refinement.

Perfect for digital freight train scenarios

The Brawa 43855 TRAXX 484 SBB Cargo impresses with its sound, digital control and prototypical design. It is therefore ideal for model railroaders who place great value on technology, appearance and functionality - a real highlight of modern model railroad technology!
