Description

Historic sound in H0 - elT 1011-1021 "Rübezahl" with DC sound

The Brawa 44164 elT 1011-1021 DRG railcar brings a fascinating chapter of railroad history directly to your DC layout - with an integrated digital decoder and authentic sound function. This model of Era II is based on the traditional DRG "Rübezahl" railcar and impresses with its combination of fine details, realistic light functions and prototypical sound.

Technology and equipment

The model is designed for 2-wire direct current operation and has a digital decoder with sound ex works. The road number Breslau 1012, home office Rbd Breslau, Bw Hirschberg, refers directly to the historical prototype. A new, quiet-running motor ensures smooth running characteristics - even at low speeds.

Light and sound effects for realistic operations

Thanks to LED technology, the model offers red and white light changes, illuminated upper carriage lanterns and rear train lights as well as a third headlight that can be switched separately. The interior lighting can also be controlled separately - perfect for atmospheric evening and night scenes. The integrated sound gives the operation additional depth and authenticity.

Dimensions and model compatibility

With a length over buffers of 251.7 mm, the railcar fits perfectly into classic H0 scenarios. It can cope with radii from 360 mm and has a coupling shaft in accordance with NEM with close coupling kinematics. This means that it can be easily combined with sidecars or other Era II vehicles.

The prototype: Electric train transportation in Silesia

The series 511-521 railcars built between 1926 and 1927 were renumbered elT 1011-1021 in the early 1930s. They ran on the electrified "Zackenbahn" between Hirschberg and Polaun - a challenging route with a high elevation profile. The vehicles were a feature of everyday life on this route for many years and were particularly popular with day trippers and winter sports enthusiasts.

With their distinctive design - including open access platforms - and their use in the mountains, they were nicknamed "Rübezahl" by the locals. The 1:87 scale replica impressively captures this history and brings it to life for your layout.

Perfect for historic DC layouts with digital requirements

The Brawa 44164 elT 1011-1021 is the ideal choice for model railroaders who want to combine historic vehicles with modern technology. With its realistic sound, elegant appearance and high level of detailing, this railcar will quickly become the highlight of your collection.
