Brawa 44168 H0 railcar ET 89 01-11 „Rübezahl“, DB, Ep. III, AC-Sound Product Details

Description

ET 89 04 "Rübezahl" with AC sound - The last of its kind now for your layout

The Brawa 44168 ET 89 04 railcar brings the history of early electric train transportation on the German Federal Railroad directly to your H0 AC layout. With an authentic look, modern digital technology and an integrated sound module, this model is a real highlight for fans of Era III - a tribute to the last operational "Rübezahl".

Technical features & details

The model is designed for the 3-wire AC system and is equipped with a factory-integrated digital decoder with sound. The road number ET 89 04 and the historical home at the Munich main station (Bw München Hbf ) refer directly to the real prototype. A new, quiet-running motor ensures smooth, jerk-free starting and a smooth ride.

Lighting & sound functions

Equipped with LED technology, the railcar offers a red and white light change, illuminated headlights and rear lights and a third headlight that can be switched separately. The interior lightingcan also be switched separately and creates an atmospheric ambience in everyday operation. The realistic sound gives the model additional acoustic depth.

Model dimensions & possible uses

With a length over buffers of 251.7 mm, the railcar is perfectly matched to the scales of the H0 world. It is suitable for a minimum radius of 360 mm and is equipped with a coupling shaft according to NEM with close coupling kinematics - ideal for realistic train formations with historic DB wagons.

The prototype: The last "Rübezahl" on the German Federal Railroad

Only three vehicles of the ET 89 series, which once comprised eleven railcars, survived the Second World War. ET 89 04 was the only one that was taken over by the German Federal Railroad and continued in service. It was in service at Munich Central Station until 1959 - ultimately exclusively as a 2nd class vehicle. Its retirement marked the end of an extraordinary class.

The combination of operational history, unique appearance with open access platforms and special operating environment makes this model a valuable piece of railroad history - now for your model railway layout with a full sound spectrum.

A must for AC collectors with a sense of history

With the Brawa 44168 ET 89 04, you are getting an acoustically and visually convincing model with depth. It combines historical significance with modern technology - perfect for collectors, sound lovers and Era III enthusiasts.
