Description

While the "Talent" began its triumphal march in Germany primarily as a diesel railcar, the electric version predominates in Austria. ÖBB ordered a total of 140 four-car sets as the 4024 series, which operate in all areas with high passenger volumes, particularly on the S-Bahn networks in Vienna, Graz and Tyrol. With Rosenheim and Lindau, they also reach stations on German territory. As the 4124 series, 37 of the 66.87 m long trains were also ordered as dual-system vehicles for use under 25 kV to Hungary. MAV-Start also owns 10 of these trains and uses them as far as Vienna.
