Description

At the end of 2010, Bombardier Transportation received an order for 27 five-car Bombardier TWINDEXX Vario® double-decker push-pull trains of the 2010 generation. The train sets with comfort equipment for long-distance transport each consist of three 2nd class middle cars, one 1st class middle car and one 2nd class control car. The TWINDEXX Vario® is a further development of the proven double-decker platform from Görlitz. Each train has 468 seats, 70 of which are in 1st class, as well as 9 bicycle stands. The maximum speed of the trains is 160 km/h. The double-decker coaches will be equipped to the same standard of comfort as ICE trains for use on long-distance services.
