The Brawa 44647 H0 Class 426 rail car is a faithful reproduction of the two-car electric railcar of the Deutsche Bahn AG in Era VI. Equipped with a factory-installed Döhler & Haass sound decoder, state-of-the-art LED lighting and finely detailed engravings, this model sets new standards in the world of model railroading. With digitally controllable interior and exterior lighting as well as an exact reproduction of driving noises and station announcements, this railcar provides an authentic driving experience on your H0 layout.
The class 426 was developed as a two-car version of the class 425 for use on less frequented routes. Between 1999 and 2008, these vehicles were manufactured by a consortium consisting of Siemens, Adtranz, Bombardier and DWA. The car bodies are made of extruded aluminum profiles, the windows are glued flush, and the cars are equipped with Jacobs bogies. The interior is fully accessible throughout and offers 206 seats and 228 standing places. Thanks to this modern design, the BR 426 is ideal for efficient local passenger transport.
The class 426 is used in many regions of Germany, including North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Schleswig-Holstein. They are used both in the S-Bahn network and on longer regional express routes such as Mannheim - Saarbrücken - Trier or Magdeburg - Stendal - Salzwedel. With their high acceleration and energy-saving design, these vehicles are an important pillar of Deutsche Bahn AG's modern local transport services.
As one of the leading model railroad manufacturers, Brawa impresses with exact replicas and the highest quality workmanship. The Brawa 44647 H0 Class 426 railcar has fine printing, razor-sharp paintwork and numerous separately applied details. Particularly noteworthy are the separately applied high-voltage equipment, finely detailed air-conditioning boxes and the exact resting position of the pantograph. The three-dimensional front section and the finest engravings make this model an eye-catcher on any layout.
The model is equipped with a Döhler & Haass sound decoder that provides a realistic soundscape. This includes driving noises, door closing signals, fan noises and station announcements. The lights change automatically between a three-light headlamp and two red marker lights. The heated train destination displays can be controlled digitally and provide an authentic representation when the train is running.
The LED interior lighting with warm white light creates a pleasant atmosphere in the passenger compartment. The driver's cab is detailed and also illuminated, which further enhances the realistic overall impression. Precisely fitted windows and finely printed window frames underline the high quality of workmanship of this model.
The integrated flywheel mass ensures particularly smooth and even driving characteristics. The close coupling kinematics in accordance with NEM enable realistic train formation and a safe connection with other cars. With a length over buffers of 566 mm and a minimum radius of 360 mm, this model is perfect for operation on demanding H0 layouts.
The Brawa 44647 H0 Class 426 railcar combines state-of-the-art technology with excellent attention to detail. The factory-integrated sound and digital control, the high-quality workmanship and the realistic lighting effects make this model an absolute highlight for all model railroaders who rely on alternating current (AC). This railcar is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a realistic representation of modern regional transportation.
