Brawa’s C3 compartment car brings the typical Reichsbahn atmosphere of the 1930s to your H0 model railroad. As part of the DRG’s extensive acquisition of Prussian cars, this model impressively demonstrates the versatility and longevity of the classic compartment car.

Historic standard car in DRG service

After the founding of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, numerous older Prussian compartment cars were transferred to the southwest and to Saxony to bolster the aging fleet there. Many vehicles originally designed as freight cars were fitted with benches and classified as C3u Pr 04/30. Distinctive features such as pressed-sheet-metal axle supports or end-wall steps allow us today to identify the original design—an important detail for model builders with an eye for the prototype.

Attention to detail for Era II

The Brawa model features numerous added details, including realistic windows, a finely executed paint job, and a fully equipped interior. The car is also prepared for interior lighting—ideal for atmospheric night trains.

Proven on any layout

With its close-coupling mechanism, the car is ideally suited for tight radii (R360). The option to use interchangeable wheel sets for AC operation (Order No. 2187) offers additional flexibility. Important: The middle wheel set must not be replaced to ensure optimal cornering performance.
