Brawa 45548 H0 passenger car Bi, DR, Ep.III Product Details

Description

About the model: Brawa presents the DR Bi passenger car on a scale of 1:87. The model impresses with its precise reproduction of the underbody and extra details. With careful printing and paintwork as well as the finest rivets and engravings, the model is extremely authentic. It also has a detailed interior for even more authenticity.

About the prototype: Despite heavy losses, the DB still had a respectable stock of standard branch line cars and the sidecars derived from them. As before the war, most of them were used between Freiburg, Neustadt and Seebrugg. Passenger coaches usually ran as single units in the other directorates. Apart from behind combustion railcars, the sidecars often also ran with ETA, but the DB converted most of them into driving trailers. However, there were still vehicles that could only be used as sidecars and some driving trailers for combustion railcars. The Nuremberg DB remained an Eldorado for these in the 1950s. On numerous main and branch lines, VTs of the pre-war types with VB and VS ensured cost-effective operation before they were replaced by the savior of the branch lines - the rail bus.
