About the model: Brawa presents the sleeping car A of the K.W.St.E. on a scale of 1:87. This detailed model has a realistic interior as well as filigree grab irons and steps for an authentic appearance. The multi-part brake system with brake shoes at wheel level completes the historic design of this car.
About the prototype: In 1883, the Württemberg State Railroad received 10 passenger coaches from the Esslingen machine factory, which had a strong Prussian look with their skylight roof. Originally, they had 6 seats in 1st class and 28 seats in 2nd class as well as a lavatory. With the ever-expanding rail network in Germany, it became necessary to offer overnight trains in the future. For this purpose, so-called sleeping carriages were built, which stood out from the passenger trains even from a distance thanks to their livery.
