With the BC4, Brawa introduces a model to the H0 layout that documents early attempts to combine different comfort classes in a single car. The car embodies the elegance of Württemberg’s railway tradition with the technical charm of the early Era I.
Since only a few passengers could afford to travel in second class, the K.W.St.E. simply combined both classes in a single car. From the outside, however, this difference was not visible—unlike the K.P.E.V., Württemberg did not use two-tone paint schemes. Production of these modern four-axle cars ended in 1865, when, under new technical leadership in Württemberg, only shorter two-axle cars were procured.
The Brawa model impresses with its finely tuned weathering, featuring soot marks on the roof, subtle signs of wear on the car body, as well as neatly applied handrails and delicate footrests. The wheel sets run on point bearings, and the detailed undercarriage will impress even the most discerning modelers.
