With the Bciel-24, Brawa presents an extremely rare prototype from the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft: Only five of these branch line cars were manufactured in the 1920s—all by Linke-Hofmann-Lauchhammer in Breslau. The models were used on the famous Zackenbahn in the Giant Mountains and represent the regional train design of Era II. One example still survives today and can be viewed on Berlin’s “Traditionszug” (Heritage Train).
The “Breslau 2914” symbolizes the brief but significant production period of the Bci-24. After World War II, two cars remained with the DR, where they continued to be operated as standard passenger cars. The surviving car, “Breslau 2921,” is now part of the “Veltener Traditionszug” in Berlin-Schöneweide. For model railroaders who value historical authenticity, this model is a true highlight.
The finest details—such as separately attached roof vents, steps, bearing caps, and delicate handrails—make this branch-line car a real eye-catcher on any Era II layout. The detailed interior, precisely fitted windows, and a finely engraved undercarriage with many separately attached parts round out the high-quality model.
