The Brawa 46207 H0 passenger car C4üpwe "DER Ferienexpress" is an excellent reproduction of a historic passenger car of the German Federal Railroad (DB) from Era III. This car was part of the well-known Ferienexpress, which comfortably transported vacationers to their vacation regions in the 1950s and 1960s. With detailed AC lighting, a precise reproduction of the interior and high-quality materials, this model is a perfect addition to any collection of historic model railroads.
In the late 1920s, the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG ) began to significantly improve travel comfort on long-distance routes. The Ferienexpress was created for organized tourism and took holidaymakers to the most popular destinations in Germany and Europe in comfortable trains. The carriages were characterized by spacious windows, a pleasant seating arrangement and high-quality furnishings that enabled passengers to enjoy a relaxed journey. These coaches remained in service until the 1970s and were also used internationally.
The Brawa 46207 impresses with many small details that make the model particularly authentic. The remarkable features include the precisely reproduced Görlitz III lightweight bogies with quadruple suspension and the ingenious frame with numerous attached individual parts. The multi-colored interior with individual seats, the precisely fitted windows and the reproduction of the roof rivets contribute to the impressive level of detail. The model is also prepared for interior lighting, which can be retrofitted as an option.

For model railroaders who wish to use the car on a DC system, the AC slider (BRAWA order number 2222) can be retrofitted. The AC wheelset option (BRAWA order number 2188) is designed for AC operation, but swapping is not recommended to ensure the best possible performance.
With a length over buffers of 239.8 mm and a minimum radius of 360 mm, the model is suitable for use on most H0 layouts. The metal axle bearings and the three-point bearing ensure a stable and smooth ride. The model runs smoothly and evenly over the rails, making it an excellent choice for model railroaders who value quality and attention to detail.
