Brawa 46626 Reisezugwagen Bnrz 450.1 der DB AG, Ep. VI (mit Innenbeleuchtung) Product Details

Description

The popular manufacturer BRAWA presents the DB AG Bnrz 450.1 passenger car. - A prototypical model of Era VI with the road number "50 80 22-35 902-2". The H0 model is a new item for 2022 and impresses with its period-appropriate appearance and numerous features. The car has a period-accurate interior and interior lighting. It also has a roof with a fine reproduction of the weld seams, a complete reproduction of the brake system and close coupler kinematics in accordance with the NEM standard.

Information about the prototype: The DB always had to have a stock of passenger coaches ready for disasters that could be quickly converted for the transportation of wounded. As the Bundeswehr had already had to deal with this issue several years previously, DB was able to fall back on an existing design. As a higher load weight was required for the wagons, design modifications were absolutely necessary. The most conspicuous change was the straight roof up to the end of the wagon, which earned the wagons the name "Steildach Silberlinge" (steep-roof Silberlinge). The AW Karlsruhe built a total of 180 wagons for the DB in 1969 and 1970, all of which were equipped with disc brakes and without steam heating.
