About the model: The covered freight car G, K.Bay.Sts.B., belonging to Era I is a high-quality model of the BRAWA brand. The wagon was manufactured on a scale of 1:87 and impresses with its high-quality appearance with detailed paintwork and printing. Furthermore, the model has been equipped with numerous features such as extra handrails and a prototypical brake system.
About the prototype: Although their load weight was lower than that of the newer Gm and Glm wagons, Bavaria could not do without the older G wagons. The limited load capacity did not matter, especially when transporting lighter general cargo, e.g. the products of the extensive glass industry in the Bavarian Forest. After 1912, the older wagons also received the red-brown livery and were assigned to the newly created "Regensburg" class. All wagons with a load weight of less than 15 tons were gathered here.
