About the model: The Sffggmrrrss36 40' container wagon 'ONE', VTG, belonging to Era VI is a high-quality model from the BRAWA brand. The wagon was manufactured on a scale of 1:87 and impresses with its high-quality appearance and numerous features such as a multi-part brake system and a finely engraved bogie.
About the prototype: The "megafret" container wagon was developed for the transportation of so-called "high cube" containers. These are containers with corner heights of 2.80 or even 3.20 m. The Transfesa sliding tarpaulin containers have a length of 45 feet (approx. 14 m). Normal standard containers are also transported in order to utilize the "megafret" wagons economically. Up to four 20-foot containers can be loaded. The wagon can travel at speeds of up to 140 km/h and the unit has a payload of 87 tons. The wagons are used on all European railroads, including Great Britain.
