About the model: The VTG Era VI container car Sffggmrrrss197 is a BRAWA brand product. The model is loaded with 40 ft containers from "MSC". The H0 model also has numerous features that make the wagon a high-quality highlight. Among other things, the model has been equipped with a multi-part brake system and close-coupling kinematics.
About the prototype: The "megafret" container wagon was developed for the transportation of so-called "high cube" containers. These are containers with corner heights of 2.80 or even 3.20 m. The Transfesa sliding tarpaulin containers have a length of 45 feet (approx. 14 m). Normal standard containers are also transported in order to utilize the "megafret" wagons economically. Up to four 20-foot containers can be loaded. The wagon can travel at speeds of up to 140 km/h and the unit has a payload of 87 tons. The wagons are used on all European railroads, including Great Britain.
