The set of 2 Omm52 open freight cars represents the robust and widely used transport cars of the German Federal Railroad from Era III. These cars were indispensable for the transportation of coal, bulk goods and other bulk goods and played an important role in the economic reconstruction of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Omm52 open freight wagons were developed from 1952 onwards to replace the old pre-war models and meet the increased requirements of the growing freight traffic. With a stable, welded frame and a modern brake system, they offered optimal conditions for flexible use within the EUROP car pool.
