Brawa 49139 H0 Container Car BTmms 58, DB, Era III Product Details

Description

Brawa 49139 H0 BTmms 58 Container Car, DB, Era III – "Door-to-Door"

Are you looking for an authentic piece of Era III rail logistics? The BTmms 58 with five pa containers is the ideal addition to your freight train set. With its historic design and technical precision, it embodies the efficiency of general cargo transport of that era—true to the motto “Door-to-Door.”

Prototype-accurate transport vehicle for pa containers

The BTmms 58 is based on the BTms55 but was designed to carry five pa containers instead of four—a major advancement in freight transport in the 1960s. The increased load capacity improved cost-effectiveness, as higher payloads could be achieved while maintaining the same car running performance.

Historical Significance

Between 1960 and 1966, approximately 2,100 of these cars were built. Some units were even prepared for the installation of the AK69e automatic center-buffer coupler. They were used with both DB-owned containers and privately owned containers, which served as effective advertising.

An unmistakable classic for your layout

The Brawa BTmms 58 impresses with its detailed die-cast zinc frame, finely reproduced braking system, and its characteristic handrail and transfer platform—a car with character and history for Era III fans.
