The Brawa 49622 H0 Lightweight Tank Car Uerdingen ZZw "Minol," DR, Era III brings a distinctive, historically accurate prototype to the model railroad.
The model is designed in the “Minol” version and is ideal for freight trains, tank farms, industrial sidings, or station areas with a DR theme. Thanks to its fine detailing, the car fits perfectly into realistic train formations of Era III.
Until 1945, cars of this type were used by Wifo and oil associations to supply the Wehrmacht. After 1945, European companies reproduced the cars in a further-developed form, including Tatra in Prague starting in 1946.
Many cars were lost due to war damage and their retention in other countries. DR cars remained in the state railway fleet and were leased to PCK Schwedt/Oder, among others. The last cars were not taken out of service until the 1990s and were occasionally still used as rail service or station cars.
The model impresses with brake shoes at wheel level, individually attached axle bearing caps and spring assemblies, as well as fine printing and paintwork. With a length over buffers of 142.5 mm, the car fits seamlessly into H0 freight train formations.
