Brawa 50088 H0 Gaskesselwagen ZZd, DB, Ep.IV 'VTG' Product Details

Description

Brawa freight cars are a real eye-catcher in any train formation. The outstanding appearance is the result of a large number of true-to-original details, which are accurately reproduced. Intricate components in particular, such as running gear...

The Brawa 50088 H0 German Railroad (DB) gas tank car ZZd from Era IV, in the VTG design, is a detailed model of a historic gas tank car. Originally delivered in 1941 by the Fuchs wagon factory for the Deutsche Reichsbahn, this wagon is characterized by a length over buffers of 14.6 m and a tank volume of 42.5 m³. These vehicles, larger than the tank wagons for acids, were used for the transportation of butane and propane. The model is designed with great attention to detail, including the precise reproduction of the boiler structure, safety and vent valves as well as the authentic buffers and couplings. The metal axles and wheelsets ensure high operational stability. Finely engraved details and separately applied brake details increase the authenticity.Depending on the model version, there may be a sun canopy to protect the gas from overheating due to sunlight. For Reichsbahn Ost wagons, it is documented that the boiler ladder was converted to allow access only from the handbrake platform.
