The Brawa 50089 H0 German Railroad (DB) gas tank car ZZd from Era IV, marked "VTG", is based on the model of the 6-axle gas tank cars that were delivered to the German Reichsbahn by the Fuchs wagon factory in 1941. These wagons, with a length over buffers of 14.6 m and a tank volume of 42.5 m³, were designed for the transportation of butane and propane and were therefore larger than tank wagons for acids. After the Second World War, many of these wagons were handed over to the private wagon hire company VTG in West Germany, while in the East they remained directly with the Deutsche Reichsbahn. In order to protect the gases in the tank from overheating due to solar radiation, some wagons were fitted with a sun canopy. In the eastern wagons, the boiler ladder was converted so that it could only be reached from the handbrake platform.
